Openbellerium is an independent application on Ethereum. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any company whose stock it lists, by Chainlink, or by Stockereum.
Eligibility
Prediction markets on stock prices may count as regulated event contracts or binary options. They may not be offered to U.S. persons or to persons in Canada, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, among other places. By betting you confirm you are not a U.S. person, are not located in a restricted jurisdiction, and that using this service is lawful where you are.
Risk of total loss
If your prediction is wrong you lose your entire stake. Odds change as others bet, so payouts shown before a bet are estimates. Stakes and payouts are in ETH, whose value moves with its market price.
How markets settle
Outcomes are decided by the Chainlink price feed in effect at each market's deadline. Oracle outages or network congestion can delay settlement. Markets that can't be settled within the grace period are cancelled and refunded. If a stock splits before a market's deadline, the market still settles on the post-split price; the contract can't detect splits. Anyone may bet up to the betting cutoff, including people with faster market data than you.
Smart contract custody
Stakes are held by the OpenbelleriumMarkets smart contract, not by us. Only the contract rules can release them, and you claim winnings or refunds directly from it. Smart contracts can contain bugs; only bet what you can afford to lose.
